Japanese Language Instructor for Ursinus College (part-time)

URSINUS COLLEGE invites applications for a part-time instructor to teach one course in Japanese language in the Fall 2008 semester, beginning August 25, 2008.

Requirements
A master’s degree or higher, preferably in Japanese language pedagogy, applied linguistics, or a related field in education or Japanese studies, is required.  Candidates should have native-level fluency in Japanese and fluency in English.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience in teaching college-level Japanese.

Send letter of application, vita, transcripts, statement of teaching philosophy, evidence of teaching effectiveness if available, and the names and contact information for three references to Professor Matthew Mizenko, Chair of the Japanese Search Committee, Department of Modern Languages, Ursinus College, Collegeville, PA 19426-1000.
