To proceed with current expansion plans, ABB Robotics - Japan is now looking for Japanese nationals living abroad or foreigners fluent in Japanese, to be based in Japan. The ideal candidates will be young qualified professionals in industrial robotics or automation products, with a background in Sales / Marketing / After-sales service.
1) Position in Sales - Responsibilities:
- Developing new accounts and establishing strong and stable customer relations
- In charge of projects & parts sales to customers in Japan and overseas
- Responsible for sales of ABB Robot solutions to customers
- Setting sales quotations, cost costing, supporting the budget making process, handling orders and framing agreements with customers in Japan and overseas
- Performing market analysis on customer demand and competitors
- Reviewing and analyzing project range and provide recommendations on product choice
- Actively involved in pre-sales activities at customer sites in Japan and overseas
2) Position in Marketing – Responsibilities:
- Assisting in establishing market requirement specifications for new product development
- Delivering recommendations on product customization and supporting the ongoing efforts to standardize existing products
- Market intelligence by analyzing product specifications and performance of competitors’ products against ABB products
- Reviewing and assessing R&D Gate model reports
- Organizing and participating in new Product Launch events in Japan and overseas
3) Position in After-sales – Responsibilities:
- Providing technical service and support to customers
- In charge of customer visits for troubleshooting and repair
- Ensuring follow up of technical requests from customers
- Delivering analysis reports to customers after equipment breakdown
- Providing installation and regular maintenance of on site equipment
- Being responsible for inventory and maintenance costs
Requirements:
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial robots / automation systems / machinery
- B.S., Technical Education, degree in Robotics is an advantage
- Robotics experience in industry with a major player or at a research institute is an advantage
- Experience in sales / marketing / after-sales service is an advantage
- Be willing to work in a project-based environment
- Excellent negotiation skills, analytical, persuasive and have a service attitude
- Highly motivated, realistic, hands on and results oriented
- Self confident and ability to work under pressure, ensuring a solid and consistent performance.
- Experience in a multi-disciplined global team environment
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, detail oriented and trustworthy.
- Fluency in Japanese and English
