Gershman Y Gallery Exhibits: Miyamori, Fuhrman, and Gershoni
The Gershman Y Galleries will present two exhibits with strong and intriguing connections to the culture of Japan. The exhibits will share an Opening Reception on Thursday, November 15, 2007 from 5:30-7:30 pm and will be open until January 11, 2008.

Contemplative Spaces: Site-specific installations by James Fuhrman and Keiko Miyamori

James Fuhrman's evocative sculptural environments reveal an affinity for Japanese concepts of space. Keiko Miyamori, a native of Japan now living in Philadelphia, has shown her work extensively in Japan and the U.S.

Sharon Gershoni: Photography

Sharon Gershoni, a native of Israel, has lived for several years in Japan, where her work was honored with a solo show in the prestigious Kodak Photo Salon. Sharon Gershoni will speak about her work on Wednesday November 28, 2007 at 1:00 pm, in the CBS Auditorium, Hamilton Hall, University of the Arts, NW corner Broad & Pine Streets.
