Festival Kickoff Press Event 2009 |
The festival kickoff press event at the Horticulture Center was a great success, drawing spectators, festival supporters, and members of the press to an opening ceremony featuring taiko drumming, kabuki dancing, and sake barrel breaking. Opening remarks were made by representatives of Subaru, the City of Philadelphia, and the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia.
